Load Short-Circuit (Igon Load Sequence)
Schneider Electric · Altivar Machine ATV320 Variable Speed Drive
¿Qué significa SCF5 ?
A hard detection of a load short-circuit during the Igon load sequence. This implies a short circuit condition was detected at the motor output during the drive's internal initialization or measurement sequence, indicating a problem with the motor or its wiring before full operation.
Causas comunes
- Short circuit between motor phases or phase-to-ground detected during the drive's initial power-up or pre-magnetization sequence (Igon).
- Motor cable insulation breakdown occurring at cold start or during initial current injection for motor identification.
- Faulty motor winding causing an immediate short when even a small current is applied.
- Incorrect motor parameter settings (e.g., motor type, nominal current) leading to an erroneous short detection.
Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación
Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.
- 1
1. Disconnect the motor cables from the drive's output terminals (U, V, W).
- 2
2. Use a megohmmeter to measure insulation resistance between motor phases and from each phase to ground (PE) with the motor cold.
- 3
3. Use a low-resistance ohmmeter to measure winding resistance between motor phases (U-V, V-W, W-U); compare to nameplate data.
- 4
4. Power up the drive with no motor connected and verify it clears the SCF5 fault.
- 5
5. Review drive parameters (e.g., P0-01 to P0-10) for correct motor type, voltage, current, and frequency settings.
