Brake Feedback Error

¿Qué significa brF ?

A detected error in the feedback signal from the brake contactor. This means the drive cannot reliably confirm the state (engaged or disengaged) of the motor brake, which can lead to safety interlock issues or unexpected motor behavior.

• Auxiliary contact (e.g., NO/NC contact on brake contactor) wiring fault to the drive's logic input (e.g., LI1).
• Mechanical failure of the brake contactor's auxiliary contact, preventing proper state change when the brake engages or disengages.
• Incorrect parameter setting (e.g., Parameter P4-15 for brake feedback input selection) for the feedback signal type or source.
• Interference or electrical noise on the brake feedback signal line causing unreliable state detection by the drive.
• Contactor coil failure or mechanical binding preventing the contactor from fully pulling in or dropping out, thus not changing auxiliary contact state.

   1. Verify continuity of the brake auxiliary contact wiring from the contactor (e.g., terminals 13/14 for NO) to the drive's logic input (e.g., LI1).

   2. With power ON, observe the status of the drive's configured logic input (e.g., LI1) via the HMI while the brake engages and disengages.

   3. Manually actuate the brake contactor (if safe to do so) and physically verify the auxiliary contact changes state.

   4. Inspect the brake contactor for any signs of mechanical binding, wear, or foreign material preventing full travel of its armature.
