Sd6 Thermal sensor error at motor (X7 or X8)

Lenze · 9300 Series

¿Qué significa x086 ?

An error has been detected with the thermal sensor connected to the motor inputs X7 or X8. This indicates a malfunction of the sensor itself or an issue with its wiring, preventing accurate motor temperature monitoring. This monitoring is controlled by parameter C0594.

Causas comunes

  • Broken wiring, short circuit, or loose connection in the thermal sensor circuit connected to terminals X7 or X8.
  • Damaged or faulty thermal sensor (e.g., PTC thermistor, KTY sensor) installed in the motor windings.
  • Sensor out of its specified operating range (e.g., open circuit or resistance too low/high) detected by the drive.
  • Improper sensor type selected in the drive's parameters (e.g., P3-10 for KTY sensor type).
  • Electrical noise or interference on the sensor wiring causing erratic readings.

Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación

Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.

  1. 1

Disconnect the thermal sensor wires from X7 or X8 and measure the sensor's resistance directly at the motor leads with an ohmmeter (compare to sensor datasheet).

  2. 2

Inspect the entire length of the thermal sensor cable from the motor to the drive's terminals X7/X8 for breaks, chafing, or corrosion.

  3. 3

Verify the parameter setting for the motor thermal sensor type (e.g., P3-10 for PTC or KTY) matches the installed sensor.

  4. 4

Check for proper grounding and shielding of the thermal sensor cable to minimize electrical noise pick-up.

  5. 5

If the sensor resistance is outside normal limits or wiring is confirmed good, consider replacing the motor's integrated thermal sensor.
