Over-current

Kone · Frequency Inverter

¿Qué significa 11 ?

This critical error indicates that the current drawn by the motor has exceeded a predefined maximum limit, protecting both the drive and motor from damage. It is often triggered by short circuits, sudden heavy loads, or excessively rapid acceleration.

Causas comunes

  • Short circuit in the motor windings or the motor cable.
  • Sudden heavy mechanical load or a physical jam on the motor.
  • Rapid acceleration ramp settings that demand excessive current from the drive.
  • Faulty drive output stage or an issue with the current sensing circuit.

Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación

Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.

  1. 1

Measure the insulation resistance of the motor windings to ground and phase-to-phase using a megger to check for short circuits.

  2. 2

Inspect the mechanical load for any obstructions, binding, or conditions that could cause excessive current draw.

  3. 3

Verify the acceleration ramp time in the drive parameters; increase it if it is set too aggressively for the load.

  4. 4

Check the motor cables for any signs of damage or short circuits between phases or to ground.
