An overload situation has been detected by the R&M Materials Handling Frequency Converter, meaning the load on the motor exceeds its rated capacity. This can be caused by excessive physical load, worn mechanical components like the chain drive, or a faulty/miscalibrated load sensor.

• Load on hook exceeds the rated load
• Worn chain or chain drive (in chain hoists)
• Load sensor is out of calibration
• Load sensor has failed
• Mechanical failure in the gear system (in chain hoists)

   Verify that the load on the hook does not exceed the rated load capacity

   Check and replace the chain and chain drive if worn

   Recalibrate the load sensor by performing the load calibration function

   If the problem recurs after recalibration, replace the load sensor and perform offset correction and calibration

   Check hoist gear operation for unusual noise or vibration, indicating mechanical failure
