Overcurrent Error

Indramat · dds 2.1 digital servo drive User Manual

¿Qué significa S-0-0011 Bit 7 ?

A Class 1 Diagnostic indicating that the current drawn by the motor exceeded the instantaneous peak current limit of the DDS 2.1 drive. This is often a sudden and severe event, leading to immediate drive shutdown to protect the power components. The drive decelerates to zero speed and shuts down torque. This condition is reset only after the cause is cleared and the command 'Reset Class 1 Diagnostics' is received via the service channel.

Causas comunes

  • Sudden, severe mechanical shock or jam in the driven load.
  • Short circuit between motor phases or from a motor phase to ground.
  • Drive output shorted to ground or phase-to-phase.
  • Very aggressive acceleration parameters combined with high inertia.
  • Incorrect motor or drive current limit settings (e.g., peak current limit too low).
  • Faulty current measurement circuit within the DDS 2.1 drive.

Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación

Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.

  1. 1

Immediately check for any mechanical binding, blockage, or sudden load changes in the machine that could cause a current surge.

  2. 2

Disconnect the motor power cable from the DDS 2.1 and measure insulation resistance between motor phases (U-V, V-W, U-W) and from each phase to ground using a megger (expect >1 MΩ).

  3. 3

With the motor disconnected, check for continuity between the drive output terminals (U, V, W) to ensure no internal short circuit within the drive.

  4. 4

Verify the drive's peak current limit settings and compare them to the motor's maximum transient current and application requirements.

  5. 5

Inspect the motor power cable for any signs of damage to insulation or shielding that could cause a short circuit.
