The connection between drive and LCP is lost

Danfoss · VLT Micro Drive FC 51

¿Qué significa 84 ?

Communication between the Local Control Panel (LCP) and the frequency converter has been lost. This prevents local control, monitoring, and parameter adjustment via the LCP, making it difficult to operate or troubleshoot the drive locally.

Causas comunes

  • LCP not securely seated on the drive's control panel, causing intermittent or no electrical contact.
  • Damage to the LCP itself (e.g., cracked PCB, faulty connector pins) or the drive's LCP interface connector.
  • Corrosion or debris on the LCP's electrical contacts or the drive's corresponding pins, preventing data transfer.
  • A loose screw or mounting clip allowing the LCP to dislodge during vibration or handling.
  • Internal control board communication bus fault within the drive's main board.

Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación

Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.

  1. 1

Remove the LCP and firmly re-seat it onto the drive's control panel, ensuring it clicks into place.

  2. 2

Inspect the LCP's connector pins and the drive's corresponding receptacle for any bent pins, damage, or foreign material.

  3. 3

Clean the LCP contacts and the drive's receptacle using a non-conductive electronic contact cleaner.

  4. 4

Attempt to connect a known-good LCP to the drive to determine if the issue is with the LCP or the drive's interface.

  5. 5

Verify the LCP's internal cable (if an external LCP is used) is not damaged and is securely connected at both ends.
