ALARM 57

AMA timeout

Danfoss · VLT HVAC Basic FC 101

¿Qué significa ALARM 57 ?

The Automatic Motor Adaptation (AMA) process failed to complete within the expected time frame. This can occur due to various reasons, including excessive motor heating from repeated attempts, which can affect resistance measurements and prolong the process.

Causas comunes

  • Motor mechanical shaft is blocked or has excessive friction, preventing free rotation during AMA's rotation test.
  • Motor cable is too long or undersized, causing excessive voltage drop or impedance, prolonging measurements.
  • Motor windings are damaged (e.g., partial short, high resistance phase), preventing proper current flow.
  • Weak input AC supply voltage to the drive, hindering the drive's ability to energize the motor effectively.
  • Drive internal fault in current sensing or processing logic, causing delays.

Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación

Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.

  1. 1

Manually rotate the motor shaft to ensure it spins freely without any mechanical binding or load.

  2. 2

Verify motor cable sizing and length are appropriate for the motor and within the drive's specifications.

  3. 3

Measure the resistance between motor phases U-V, V-W, W-U at the motor terminals; they should be balanced.

  4. 4

Check the input AC supply voltage at terminals L1, L2, L3 during AMA for stability and correct levels.

  5. 5

Perform an insulation resistance test (Megger test) on the motor windings to ground and phase-to-phase.
