FF85

MOT TORQ LIM

ABB · ACS800

¿Qué significa FF85 ?

The ABB ACS800 drive is actively limiting motor torque based on the calculated motor pull-out torque limit and the minimum/maximum torque limits defined by parameters 20.13 (MIN TORQ SEL) and 20.14 (MAX TORQ SEL). This is an informative alarm (3.18 AW 5 bit 11) indicating the drive is operating near its torque boundaries, and its behavior can be configured via Fault Function 30.23.

Causas comunes

  • Application demands exceed the maximum motor torque limit set by parameter 20.14 (MAX TORQ SEL).
  • Application attempts to operate below the minimum torque limit set by parameter 20.13 (MIN TORQ SEL).
  • Incorrect settings of parameter 20.13 or 20.14, which may be too restrictive for the application's actual torque requirements.
  • Fault Function parameter 30.23 (LIMIT WARNING) is configured to activate this informative alarm.
  • Incorrect motor parameter settings in group 99 START-UP DATA or an unsuccessful motor ID run, especially if LIMIT WORD 1 bit 0 TORQ MOTOR LIM is active.

Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación

Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.

  1. 1

Check parameter 20.13 (MIN TORQ SEL) and 20.14 (MAX TORQ SEL) settings in the ABB ACS800 drive to ensure they are appropriate for the motor and application's torque requirements.

  2. 2

Evaluate the application's torque demands; reduce the load or adjust operating conditions if torque limits are consistently being reached.

  3. 3

Verify parameter 30.23 (LIMIT WARNING) to ensure it is configured as desired for informative alarm activation and not causing unnecessary interruptions.

  4. 4

If LIMIT WORD 1 bit 0 TORQ MOTOR LIM is active, carefully check all motor parameter settings in group 99 START-UP DATA against the motor nameplate for accuracy.

  5. 5

Ensure that a successful motor ID run has been completed to accurately identify motor electrical characteristics and enable precise torque control.
