Power Off Required for Hardware Reconfiguration
ABB · ACS560 Standard Control Program Firmware
¿Qué significa FF39 ?
The inverter type (e.g., sr0025_3) has been changed, typically at the factory or during drive implementation, and a power cycle is required to validate this change. This alarm prompts the user to switch off the control board power to finalize the hardware reconfiguration and allow the drive to operate with the new settings.
Causas comunes
- Internal inverter hardware configuration (e.g., DSP board, power module type) was detected as changed upon initial power-up or after a component replacement (e.g., P-side module swap).
- A firmware update procedure has completed, but the new firmware requires a complete power cycle to properly initialize and validate the updated hardware definitions.
- The drive was stored for an extended period without power, leading to temporary loss of volatile memory and requiring re-initialization of hardware registers upon power application.
- Incorrect drive type identification (e.g., P0-03) written to EEPROM during manufacturing or configuration, which is only validated after a power cycle.
- Intermittent connection issues with internal module communication, leading the drive to re-evaluate its hardware configuration.
Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación
Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.
- 1
Locate the main incoming power disconnect for the drive (e.g., circuit breaker L1, L2, L3) and switch it to the OFF position.
- 2
Confirm that all drive status LEDs are extinguished and the control panel display is off, indicating complete discharge of DC link capacitors; wait at least 5 minutes to ensure full discharge.
- 3
Switch the main incoming power disconnect (e.g., circuit breaker L1, L2, L3) back to the ON position to re-energize the drive.
- 4
Monitor the drive's startup sequence and check if the 'FF39' alarm clears and normal operation can be initiated.
- 5
If the alarm persists, power off again and verify the physical seating and connection of any recently replaced internal hardware components (e.g., control board, power module).
- 6
Access the drive's parameter settings (e.g., P0-03 Drive ID) after the power cycle to ensure the correct inverter type is now recognized and displayed.
