oPE01

Drive Capacity Mismatch (o2-04)

Yaskawa · V1000

What does oPE01 mean?

The value set for parameter o2-04, which specifies the drive's capacity, does not match the actual installed drive's capacity. This configuration error prevents the drive from accurately recognizing its specifications and operating correctly.

Common Causes

  • Parameter o2-04 (Drive Capacity Setting) has been manually set to an incorrect value during initial setup or parameter backup/restore.
  • A parameter upload from a different capacity drive was applied to the current drive without adjustment of o2-04.
  • Firmware update or parameter corruption might have altered the value of o2-04 from its factory default.
  • Incorrect physical drive installed in the system compared to what the parameter file (o2-04) expects.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

    1. Identify the actual rated capacity (e.g., HP/kW) of the installed drive from its nameplate or documentation.

  2. 2

    2. Access Parameter o2-04 (Drive Capacity Setting) via the drive's keypad or programming software.

  3. 3

    3. Set Parameter o2-04 to the correct value corresponding to the installed drive's capacity, as indicated in the drive's manual or nameplate.

  4. 4

    4. Perform a drive power cycle after setting the parameter to ensure the new configuration is fully applied.

  5. 5

    5. Verify that no other capacity-dependent parameters (e.g., maximum current limits) are exhibiting unexpected values after o2-04 correction.
