What does 111 mean?

One or more temperature input signals (configured in P3.9.6.1) have exceeded the alarm limit (P3.9.6.2) or the fault limit (P3.9.6.3). This indicates an overtemperature condition in a monitored area or a problem with the temperature sensing circuit. Unresolved overtemperature can lead to equipment damage.

Common Causes

  • Excessive ambient temperature in the monitored area, exceeding the design limits of the equipment.
  • Malfunction of cooling system components (e.g., cooling fan failure, blocked air vents) specific to the monitored zone.
  • Parameter P3.9.6.3 (Temperature Fault Limit) or P3.9.6.2 (Temperature Alarm Limit) set too low, triggering prematurely under normal operating conditions.
  • Degradation or incorrect placement of the temperature sensor (e.g., RTD, thermocouple) configured in P3.9.6.1, causing an inaccurate high reading.
  • Overload condition on equipment monitored by Temperature Fault 1, generating excessive heat.
