F30105

PU: Actual value sensing fault

Siemens · SINAMICS G120C Variable Speed Drive

What does F30105 mean?

At least one actual value channel on the Power Stack Adapter (PSA) has been detected as incorrect. This means the drive is receiving erroneous feedback for critical operational parameters, compromising its control algorithms. Inaccurate actual values can lead to unstable motor operation, incorrect control responses, or damage to the motor or drive due to misinterpretation of real-time conditions.

Common Causes

  • Disconnection or damage of the Power Stack Adapter (PSA) board or its ribbon cable from the main control board.
  • Faulty current sensors (e.g., Hall effect sensors) within the power unit, providing incorrect feedback for motor current or voltage.
  • Incorrect installation of the PSA board, leading to improper contact with the power unit's measurement points.
  • Component failure on the PSA board itself, affecting the acquisition or processing of actual values.
  • Excessive noise or interference on the sensing lines, causing erroneous readings.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Power off the drive and inspect the Power Stack Adapter (PSA) board's connections for proper seating and ensure the ribbon cable is securely attached.

  2. 2

Check for any visible damage, corrosion, or contamination on the PSA board or its connectors.

  3. 3

Perform a full power cycle of the drive (main power off/on) to re-initialize all internal sensing components.

  4. 4

If possible, cross-reference the actual current values (r0027) or voltage values (r0025) with external measurements to identify discrepancies.

  5. 5

Replace the Power Stack Adapter (PSA) board, or the entire power unit if the PSA is integrated and not a replaceable module.
