Error while booting
Siemens · DCM
What does F30664 mean?
An error has occurred during the power unit's booting process, preventing it from starting up correctly. The fault value (r0949) is provided for internal Siemens troubleshooting. This issue can cause the drive to remain offline or fail to respond to commands.
Common Causes
- Corrupted firmware or operating system image on the power unit's internal memory (e.g., flash memory).
- Hardware malfunction within the power unit's control board or internal communication bus.
- Incompatible hardware revision of the power unit with the connected control unit (e.g., mismatched versions).
- Power supply instability or transient voltage drop during the boot sequence causing initialization failure.
- Critical internal component failure (e.g., processor, memory chip) preventing the boot process.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Perform a complete power cycle of the drive system (main power off/on) to clear any transient boot issues.
- 2
Check the connections between the control unit and the power unit (e.g., Drive-Cliq cable) for secure fit and damage.
- 3
Attempt a firmware update for the power unit using a valid firmware image (e.g., via SD card or engineering software).
- 4
Record the fault value displayed in parameter r0949 for reference when contacting technical support.
- 5
If possible, swap the power unit with a known good, compatible unit to rule out a hardware defect in the power unit itself.
