201

2nd Motor Frequency Upper Limit Exceeded

Omron · MX2 Inverter

What does 201 mean?

For the second motor settings, this warning indicates that the frequency upper limit (A261) is set higher than the 2nd maximum frequency (A204). This inconsistent configuration for the alternative motor profile may prevent the second motor from operating at its intended maximum frequency.

Common Causes

  • Parameter A261 (2nd motor frequency upper limit) is set to a value that exceeds parameter A204 (2nd maximum frequency).
  • Inconsistent parameter configuration where the absolute maximum frequency for the second motor (A204) is lower than its defined operational upper limit (A261).
  • During commissioning, A204 was inadvertently set to a value below the intended operational ceiling specified by A261.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Read the current values of parameter A261 (2nd motor frequency upper limit) and parameter A204 (2nd maximum frequency).

  2. 2

Adjust parameter A261 to be less than or equal to parameter A204, ensuring the frequency upper limit is within the absolute maximum frequency.

  3. 3

Alternatively, if a higher overall maximum frequency is intended, increase parameter A204 to a value greater than or equal to A261.

  4. 4

Commit parameter changes to the drive's memory and perform a drive reset to ensure settings are active.
