Ethernet Communication Fault

What does E.EHR mean?

This fault indicates an error in the Ethernet communication between the FR-A800 inverter and an external control system or device. This will prevent remote control, monitoring, and data exchange over Ethernet.

• Physical layer issue such as a disconnected Ethernet cable, damaged cable, or faulty network port.
• Incorrect network settings (IP address, subnet mask, gateway, etc.) configured in the FR-A800 (Pr.1200-Pr.1205) or the connected device.
• Network congestion, excessive noise, or incompatible network hardware (e.g., switch, router).
• Faulty Ethernet option card or embedded Ethernet port on the inverter.
• Mismatch in communication protocols or application layer settings.

   Verify that the Ethernet cable is securely connected to both the FR-A800 inverter and the network device. Inspect the cable for damage.

   Check the network status LEDs on the FR-A800 and the connected network switch/router for link and activity.

   Verify the Ethernet communication parameters in the FR-A800 (e.g., Pr.1200-Pr.1205 for IP address, subnet mask, etc.) match the network configuration.

   Ping the inverter's IP address from the control system to confirm network connectivity.

   Temporarily connect the inverter directly to a PC with a known good Ethernet cable and test communication using FR Configurator2 or a ping command.
