E.OPT

Option alarm

Mitsubishi Electric · A500 Inverter

What does E.OPT mean?

This alarm stops the inverter output if two or more communication options are fitted (with exceptions for FR-A5NR). If a high power factor converter is connected, this alarm appears if an AC power supply is accidentally connected to the R, S, T <L1, L2, L3> terminals, which can result in inverter damage.

Common Causes

  • An alarm condition has been triggered by an optional accessory or expansion module.
  • Communication failure with a connected option device.
  • Option device internal fault.
  • Incorrect configuration of the option device within the system.
