Brake fault
Kuka · KRC2 KSS System Message
What does 122 mean?
The brake cable monitoring device has detected a short-circuit, overloading, or a break in the brake cable connection. This will result in path-maintaining braking and stop program execution.
Common Causes
- Brake engagement mechanism failed to disengage or engage correctly.
- Brake coil short-circuited or open-circuited.
- Low brake release voltage (e.g., less than 24VDC) preventing disengagement.
- Mechanical obstruction preventing brake movement.
- Fault detected in brake control circuit feedback (e.g., P3-01).
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Rectify the fault in the brake cable (short-circuit, overloading, or break in connection).
- 2
