Maximum Stroke
Indramat · ServoDyn D Servo Drive
What does 12 mean?
This error occurs in Automatic mode if the maximum stroke value defined in Parameter 15 (Immediate Stop) is exceeded. This typically happens when Axis 1 travels beyond its allowed stroke limit, often during an Immediate Stop sequence, indicating an overtravel condition.
Common Causes
- Axis 1 traveling beyond the configured maximum stroke limit set in Parameter 15 (Immediate Stop).
- Parameter 15 is incorrectly set, allowing a stroke length greater than the physical limit or misinterpreting the required stroke.
- Axis 1 failing to synchronize correctly with the material speed, leading to unexpected travel distances.
- Inaccurate position feedback from the encoder for Axis 1, causing the CLM01.3-M to miscalculate the stroke.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Re-evaluate and adjust Parameter 15 (Immediate Stop) to ensure it accurately reflects the physical maximum stroke of Axis 1.
- 2
Verify that Axis 1 is properly synchronizing with the material speed; consult Chapter 6 for detailed instructions on adjusting position lag.
- 3
Check for any mechanical binding, obstructions, or excessive inertia in the system that could cause Axis 1 to overtravel.
- 4
Inspect the Axis 1 encoder for proper operation and verify that its feedback accurately reflects the actual position.
- 5
Review the user program for any commands that might inadvertently cause Axis 1 to exceed its defined stroke limits during operation.
