Marker Pulse 1?
Indramat · ServoDyn D Servo Drive
What does 08 mean?
This error occurs if the marker pulse of the Axis 1 encoder is detected too close (closer than 1/16 revolution) to the homing switch cam. This can lead to unreliable homing operations or incorrect home position detection for Axis 1.
Common Causes
- Homing switch cam for Axis 1 is physically positioned too close to the encoder's marker pulse detection point.
- Incorrect mechanical adjustment of the homing switch or the encoder itself.
- Faulty Axis 1 encoder producing an unstable or noisy marker pulse.
- Configuration parameters for homing (Parameter 08 or Parameter 10) are incorrect.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Adjust the physical position of the homing switch cam for Axis 1 to ensure a clearance greater than 1/16 revolution from the encoder marker pulse.
- 2
Verify that Parameter 08 (Homing Setup) and Parameter 10 (Homing Setup I/O) for Axis 1 are correctly configured as per the manual (refer to Chapter 4).
- 3
Inspect the Axis 1 encoder for any physical damage or loose connections that could affect marker pulse generation.
- 4
Check the homing switch for proper mechanical actuation and reliable electrical signaling.
- 5
Use an oscilloscope to observe the encoder marker pulse signal and homing switch signal to identify timing or noise issues.
