+/-15Volt DC error
Indramat · Indradrive
What does F8069 mean?
This error indicates an issue with the internal ±15V DC power supply rails within the IndraDrive. These voltages are typically used for sensitive analog circuitry, such as encoder interfaces, current measurement, and control section components. A failure here affects internal signal integrity.
Common Causes
- Overload on the ±15V internal supply, possibly due to a faulty connected peripheral or control card.
- Internal power supply component failure within the IndraDrive.
- Short circuit or leakage on a board component drawing excessive current from these rails.
- Input power fluctuations causing the internal DC-DC converters to fail.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Cycle power to the IndraDrive.
- 2
Check for any external components or modules connected to the IndraDrive that draw power from its internal supplies and temporarily disconnect them to isolate the issue.
- 3
Visually inspect the drive's control section for any damaged components (e.g., bulging capacitors, burnt resistors) near the power supply section.
- 4
Ensure the main input power to the IndraDrive is stable and within specified limits.
- 5
If the error persists, the control unit or the entire IndraDrive module is likely defective and requires replacement.
