What does E2053 mean?

The commanded target position for the IndraDrive MPx02 is outside the defined mechanical or software travel limits of the axis. This warning prevents the drive from moving the axis to a potentially damaging or undesired physical location, ensuring machine safety and integrity.

• The target position from the master controller exceeds the configured positive or negative software limit switches (e.g., P-0-0045, Position limit positive; P-0-0046, Position limit negative).
• Mechanical hard stops are set within the software limits, or the software limits are too restrictive for the application's operational range.
• Loss of position reference or incorrect homing offset, causing the drive to misinterpret the current position relative to limits.
• Incorrect scaling of position units between the master controller and the drive.

   Verify the commanded target position from the master control system (PLC/CNC) and ensure it falls within the defined operational travel range.

   Check the drive's software travel limit parameters, such as P-0-0045 (Position limit positive) and P-0-0046 (Position limit negative), and adjust them if they are too restrictive or incorrectly set.

   Inspect the mechanical system for any physical hard stops or limit switches that might be activated prematurely or define a smaller range than intended.

   Review the homing procedure and absolute position reference to ensure the drive's coordinate system is correctly aligned with the mechanical system.
