E2026

Undervoltage in power section

Indramat · IndraDrive MPx02

What does E2026 mean?

The IndraDrive MPx02 has detected an undervoltage condition within its internal power section (DC bus voltage has dropped below a critical threshold). This is a warning state that precedes a fault if the condition persists, impacting drive performance and potentially leading to a controlled shutdown to protect the drive.

Common Causes

  • Insufficient incoming AC mains voltage to the drive.
  • Temporary voltage sag or brownout on the mains supply.
  • Excessive current draw during heavy loading conditions leading to DC bus ripple or collapse.
  • High resistance in the power cabling to the drive, causing voltage drop.
  • Internal issues with the drive's DC bus capacitor bank or charging circuit.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Measure the incoming AC mains voltage at the drive input terminals (L1, L2, L3) and compare it to the drive's nominal voltage setting (P-0-0120).

  2. 2

Monitor the DC bus voltage (e.g., via drive diagnostics) to observe its behavior and confirm the undervoltage during operation, especially during acceleration or heavy load.

  3. 3

Inspect all power cable connections to the IndraDrive MPx02 for looseness, corrosion, or inadequate sizing that could cause voltage drops under load.

  4. 4

Reduce the mechanical load or adjust the application's duty cycle to minimize peak current demands if the undervoltage occurs during heavy transients.

  5. 5

If the supply voltage is stable and correct, but the warning persists, contact Indramat service for internal drive diagnostics.
