Control voltage supply fault power supply unit (HVE only)
Indramat · CLM01.3-M Flying Cutoff Control
What does E387 mean?
This fault applies only to the Indramat HVE power supply unit. It indicates that the incoming power voltage supply exceeds the permissible tolerance range of 3x 380-480V, ± 10%, which can lead to unstable operation or damage to the unit.
Common Causes
- Mains voltage supply (line voltage) is outside the specified tolerance range (e.g., below 342V or above 528V for 380-480V nominal).
- A main fuse in the control cabinet supplying the HVE unit has blown or is damaged.
- Loose or corroded connections in the mains power supply circuit to the HVE.
- Malfunction of the HVE's internal voltage monitoring circuit.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Measure the incoming three-phase mains voltage at the input terminals of the Indramat HVE power supply unit to verify it is within 380-480V, ± 10%.
- 2
Check the mains fuses in the control cabinet that supply power to the HVE unit for continuity and proper rating, and replace if necessary.
- 3
Inspect all power wiring connections to the HVE unit for tightness and corrosion.
- 4
Verify that the upstream power supply and distribution system are stable and providing correct voltage.
