E264

Target position out of numerical range

Indramat · CLM01.3-M Flying Cutoff Control

What does E264 mean?

In the drive-internal interpolation mode, the calculated target position cannot be represented within the internal position format limits of the Indramat DIAX04 SSE-03VRS controller. This can lead to incorrect axis positioning or movement failures.

Common Causes

  • The commanded target position exceeds the numerically representable range of the drive.
  • Position data for infinitely turning axes is not correctly illustrated in modulo format.
  • The configured maximum travel range is too small for the intended motion profile.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Verify the commanded target position value from the control system and correct it if it exceeds the drive's internal limits.

  2. 2

For infinitely turning axes, ensure that position data is correctly set up and interpreted in modulo format within the application program and drive parameters.

  3. 3

Review and enlarge the maximum travel range parameter in the Indramat DIAX04 SSE-03VRS controller configuration, if the application requires larger travel.

  4. 4

Check the scaling and units of the position feedback and command values to ensure consistency.
