Option module configuration has changed

Danfoss · VLT HVAC Drive FC 102

What does 67 mean?

One or more option modules (e.g., fieldbus cards, I/O extensions) have either been added or removed since the last power-down cycle. The drive detects a change in its hardware configuration and requires user confirmation. This alarm serves as a notification and requires a reset to ensure the change was intentional before proceeding.

Common Causes

  • An option module (e.g., Profibus card, I/O module) has been physically added or removed since the last power cycle.
  • An existing option module is not properly seated in its slot on the control card, causing intermittent detection.
  • A newly installed or re-seated option module requires explicit acknowledgement or initialization through parameter P14-22 (Auto Configuration).
  • Faulty option module causing inconsistent identification by the main control board.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

    1. Power down the drive, then visually inspect and re-seat all installed option modules firmly into their respective slots.

  2. 2

    2. Verify the drive's parameter P14-22 (Auto Configuration) is set to '1' (Enable) to detect module changes.

  3. 3

    3. If an option module was recently added or removed, confirm its presence or absence matches the intended configuration.

  4. 4

    4. Power cycle the frequency converter and observe if the fault reoccurs; if so, test with a known good option module.
