What does 1796 mean?
An error occurred during the copying of data in RAM (Random Access Memory). This suggests a memory integrity problem or a transient issue within the drive's internal data handling.
Common Causes
- Transient power interruption or sag affecting RAM during a write cycle.
- Faulty RAM chip or memory controller on the main control board.
- Software attempting to write to an invalid or protected memory address.
- Overheating of the memory components leading to data corruption.
- Electromagnetic interference (EMI) affecting the RAM data bus or control signals.
