Slow manual velocity not allowed
Beckhoff · TwinCAT 2 NC
What does 4306 mean?
The value configured for the slow manual velocity parameter is not allowed. The accepted range for this parameter is [0.0, 10000.0] (e.g., m/min). An invalid setting prevents the system from reliably executing slow manual movements, potentially leading to no motion or jerky manual control.
Common Causes
- The configured slow manual velocity parameter (e.g., P2-15) is set to a value outside the acceptable range of [0.0, 10000.0] (m/min).
- Attempt to enter a negative value for the slow manual velocity, which is physically impossible for speed and outside the allowed range.
- Units mismatch: The entered value is interpreted in incorrect units (e.g., mm/s instead of m/min) making it appear out of range to the system.
- Data corruption or incorrect transfer of the parameter value from the HMI or configuration software to the drive controller.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
1. Access the slow manual velocity parameter (e.g., P2-15, Jog Slow Speed) and ensure its value is between 0.0 and 10000.0.
- 2
2. Verify the specified units (e.g., m/min) for the parameter P2-15 and ensure the entered numerical value corresponds to these units.
- 3
3. Re-enter the desired slow manual velocity value using the drive's programming software to ensure correct data integrity.
- 4
4. Check for any scaling factors or unit conversions (e.g., P0-03, Position Units) that might be affecting the interpretation of the velocity parameter.
- 5
5. Save the parameter changes to non-volatile memory and perform a power cycle of the drive to ensure the new value is active.
