This fault indicates a short circuit has been detected, either during power-up or during normal operation. This is a critical fault indicating excessive current flow, often due to wiring issues or a faulty motor. Such a condition can severely damage the drive's power output stage if not immediately addressed.

• Phase-to-phase or phase-to-ground short circuit in the motor wiring (U, V, W terminals or motor cable).
• Damaged motor windings causing a short circuit within the motor.
• Incorrect motor parameter settings (e.g., P0-03 Motor Rated Current) leading to an underestimated current limit.
• Rapid acceleration (P0-10 Accel1 Time) with high inertia loads exceeding the drive's current capacity.
• Failure of the drive's IGBTs (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors) causing a short circuit on the output stage.

   1. De-energize and lock out the drive, then inspect all motor power cables (U, V, W) for insulation damage or loose connections at both drive and motor terminals.

   2. Disconnect the motor cables from the drive, then measure the resistance between each output phase (T1/U, T2/V, T3/W) and ground at the drive terminals; resistance should be infinite.

   3. Perform an insulation resistance test (Megger test) on the motor windings at 500VDC (phase-to-phase and phase-to-ground) to check for internal shorts.
