Capacitor Over Temperature
Schneider Electric · XW Pro NA Operation Guide
Was bedeutet F45 ?
This Automatic Fault signifies a capacitor over-temperature shutdown at 105 °C, safeguarding internal components from overheating. The fault clears automatically when the capacitor temperature drops to 105 °C.
Häufige Ursachen
- Inadequate cooling or restricted airflow to the inverter's internal capacitor bank.
- Excessive ripple current flowing through the DC-link capacitors due to heavy loads or harmonic distortion on the AC side.
- High ambient temperature within the inverter enclosure or equipment cabinet.
- Aging or failing DC-link capacitors exhibiting increased Equivalent Series Resistance (ESR), leading to greater heat dissipation.
- Faulty temperature sensor specifically monitoring the capacitor bank.
Reparaturschritte & Checkliste
Klicken Sie auf Schritte, um Ihren Fortschritt zu verfolgen.
- 1
Verify the operation of all cooling fans within the inverter enclosure by checking fan rotation and airflow at exhaust vents.
- 2
Clean air filters and ensure sufficient clearance around the inverter for proper heat dissipation (e.g., 100mm on all sides).
- 3
Measure the ambient temperature inside the inverter enclosure and compare it to the specified operational range (e.g., max 50°C).
- 4
Inspect the capacitor bank for visual signs of bulging, leaking electrolyte, or discoloration, indicating capacitor degradation.
- 5
Monitor the DC bus voltage and ripple amplitude using an oscilloscope to detect excessive ripple current that could cause overheating.
