This typically points to issues with the motor or inconsistencies in the line connections. Sustained overvoltage can damage the drive's internal components, especially the IGBTs and DC link capacitors, leading to drive failure.

• Regenerative energy from the motor exceeding the drive's braking capacity (e.g., fast deceleration with insufficient braking resistor).
• Failed or undersized dynamic braking resistor, or wiring fault to the resistor.
• Malfunction in the DC link voltage measurement circuit.
• Faulty or degraded DC link capacitors.
• Mains supply overvoltage (transient or sustained) causing DC link voltage to rise excessively.
