Brake check
Danfoss · VLT Micro Drive FC 51
What does 28 mean?
The brake resistor is either not connected to the drive, or it is not functioning correctly (e.g., open circuit). This means the drive cannot dissipate regenerative energy, potentially leading to DC overvoltage faults during deceleration if braking is required.
Additional Steps
Steps 1–2 are listed in Priority Fix.
- 3
Check the brake resistor parameters (e.g., 2-10 Brake Function) to ensure proper configuration and that the braking function is enabled.
- 4
Ensure the brake resistor is appropriately sized for the application's regenerative energy requirements.
