What does 10028 mean?

The drive (MotiFlex e100, MotiFlex e180, MicroFlex e190) is configured to use a Serial Encoder but is unable to provide position information. This error is generated if an attempt is made to enable the axis before the encoder is ready (which can take several seconds) or if the resolution configured on the drive is not compatible with the encoder. The axis will be crash stopped and disabled.

• Attempt to enable the axis before the serial encoder has completed its readiness sequence.
• The encoder resolution configured on the drive is not compatible with the connected serial encoder.
• An internal fault within the encoder preventing it from providing valid position information.

   Allow several seconds for the serial encoder to become ready after power-up before attempting to enable the axis.

   Verify that the encoder resolution configured in the drive's parameters matches the specifications of the connected serial encoder.
