Operation Finished / Reserved Address Setting

What does E2-0 mean?

This code can indicate that an operation has finished, or more critically, that a reserved switch address setting is being used. A reserved address setting is invalid and will prevent proper Safety PLC operation.

• Physical address switches (e.g., DIP switches) on the SM560-S Safety PLC are set to a reserved or invalid address, as defined by the manufacturer's documentation.
• The 'Operation Finished' indication may be a secondary status, but the primary fault is triggered by the detection of a reserved physical address setting.
• Corrupted address detection logic within the Safety PLC's firmware leading to misinterpretation of a valid address as a reserved one.
• A faulty physical address switch on the SM560-S module, which is stuck in a position corresponding to a reserved address, despite visual inspection.
• Incompatible hardware revision or firmware version of the SM560-S module with the project configuration, leading to different interpretations of address settings.

   1. Power down the SM560-S Safety PLC, locate the physical address switches (e.g., DIP switches), and visually inspect their current settings.
